Englisch (EN): Welcome to the Thalerlotsch – your rustic group accommodation in the Safiental (Graubünden, Switzerland). “Soo vill Natur muesch eifach erläbe!” Whether you come with family, a school class, a club, or friends – here up to 35 guests can stay in an original Walser house from 1716, lovingly renovated and full of charm. The Thalerlotsch is located in Thalkirch at 1,717 m above sea level, just a five-minute walk from the “Alte Post” bus stop. In summer you can easily reach it by car, in winter depending on snow clearance. Inside you will find a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering, two cozy lounges with stone stoves, and dormitory-style rooms (4- and 7-bed) in traditional style. No luxury – but pure authenticity, lots of wood, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. In the Safiental endless adventures await: hiking, biking, and mountain tours in summer, ski touring, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing in winter. Nearby farms offer fresh products like cheese, eggs, and milk, while in Safien-Platz you will find small shops and cozy inns such as the Gasslihof or the Turrahus. Whether for a camp, nature holiday, or mountain weekend – the Thalerlotsch is your ideal starting point for unforgettable days in the heart of the Grisons mountains.
Days without an entry are considered free. Only the enquiry to the host is binding.
Public transport: Take the Rhaetian Railway to Versam-Safien, then change to the Postbus. It runs to Thalkirch, stop “Alte Post”. From there you reach the Thalerlotsch in about a 5-minute walk. Car: In summer, access to the house by car is straightforward. In winter, the road is cleared only on certain days and at specific times – access is then only possible with winter equipment (snow chains). Alternatively, you can park in Thalkirch and walk to the accommodation.
