The ski and holiday home Alpina above Elm in the canton of Glarus (Switzerland) is a house for self-catering, designed for camps, seminars and weekends. It is situated at 1475 m in the middle of the extensive skiing and hiking area at Freiberg Kärpf (oldest game reserve in Europe), opposite the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona with the famous Martinsloch. The location offers plenty of space for outdoor play. In summer you have a free ride on the aeral cableway from 4 nights onwards and access by 1 car is possible. The house sleeps 50, distributed on 9 rooms with bunk beds: 2x4 places with separate shower/toilet, 1x4 places, 5x6 places, 1x8 places, 2 washrooms with 4 showers / 4 toilets. Further at your disposal: cosy living room, in front of it a panoramic terrace of 100 m2, equipped seminar room with 30 seats, outdoor seating, multi-purpose room with table tennis table, room for handicrafts/waxing cellar, drying room with washing tower, storage cellar, ski room. The large kitchen is equipped with: gastronomic stove, tilting pan, 2 ovens, refrigerator, dishwasher, storage room. Grocery stores deliver free of charge to the top station. Activities: Winter sports with direct access to the pistes, hiking, visit to the alpine cheese dairy, experience trail through the giant forest with fireplaces, games on rivulets, animal watching, UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona, Ämpächli children's paradise with 10 large trampolines, gold prospecting, bowling.

By train to Schwanden, then by bus to Elm-Sportbahnen. The bus stops directly at the valley station of the aerial cableway Elm-Ämpächli. If you are arriving by car, take the A3 motorway to exit 44 Niederurnen and then drive via Glarus, Schwanden to Elm-Sportbahnen, where free parking is available. The cable car takes you to the Ämpächli Alp. Turn left at the top station and you will reach the ski and holiday house Alpina in 3 minutes on foot.
