The cozy Pfadiheim Mühlebächli in Schwanden (Glarus canton, Switzerland) is ideally suited for small to medium-sized groups. The building is situated in a quiet hillside location and is easily reachable on foot from Schwanden train station, with parking spaces available. In addition to the warm atmosphere inside the house, it features a beautiful view and a spacious outdoor area. Two large and two smaller bedrooms with bunk beds offer good flexibility for accommodating groups. The spacious, wood-paneled rooms are equipped with covered pillows and mattresses. Sleeping bags or personal duvets with fitted sheets are mandatory. Wool blankets are available for cold days. A covered terrace, a fire pit with a panoramic view, and a small play or camping area are wonderful additions to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. A separate chimney room provides a great extension of the common area for group activities or evening programs. In nearby Schwanden, there is an outdoor pool, sports fields, and various shopping opportunities. The house is a good starting point for exploring the oldest wildlife protection area, Freiberg Kärpf. During the winter months, the ski resorts of Elm and Braunwald are easily reachable from the lodge. The house is centrally heated with a heat pump and is provided warm. Arriving by car: Please park cars only in the gravel area after the bridge or in the two designated parking spaces marked “Pfadiheim Mühlebächli” along the road to Haseln, near the container. Additional parking is available at the fire station in Schwanden. Arriving by public transport: Take the train to Schwanden station. Then, follow the walking signs (about 20 minutes) from the entrance of the village of Haseln.
