Our group house "Ostello Madonna della Fontana" is a typical Ticino house on the enchanting Monte Verità, in the church building of the Madonna della Fontana, 20 minutes' walk from the Piazza of Ascona (1.4 km) and the shores of Lake Maggiore. The hostel offers up to 40 beds in 4 dormitories (1x single room, 1x triple room, 1x 16-bed room, 1x 20-bed room), a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, an activity room and a large area for outdoor activities as well as a car park. The Madonna della Fontana hostel is an ideal location for hiking weeks, sports clubs, children's and youth camps, class camps and training courses of all kinds. The facility is rented as a whole; it is not possible to book individual rooms. Prices for the year 2025: From 3 nights: Accommodation costs CHF 640.00 + electricity surcharge CHF 10.00 per night for the whole house For 1 - 2 nights: Accommodation costs CHF 740.00 + electricity surcharge CHF 10.00 per night for the whole house Extra: Visitor’s tax CHF 3.30 per adult per night – from 14 years old Important Information: • The house does not provide bedding. Guests must bring their own fitted sheet and sleeping bag. • The group is responsible for cleaning the entire house before check-out.

You can reach us directly by bus number 1 (direction Losone "Sottochiesa") or by bus number 7 (direction Losone "Zandone"/"Caserma") from Locarno, "Stazione" to Losone, "Mercato Cattori". From the bus stop to the Ostello Madonna della Fontana it is about a 15 minute walk. As it is 15 minutes from the bus stop and slightly uphill, we are happy to offer you a transfer on the day of arrival for shopping and luggage (please book at least 7 days before arrival).
