The Naturfreundehaus Tscherwald is located above Amden (St. Gallen, Switzerland) in the middle of nature at 1361 m.a.s.l. with a great panoramic view of the Glarus Alps. There is a terrace, a fireplace, a table tennis table and a hot tub on the premises. The rooms are rustic and simply furnished. All beds are equipped with pillows and duvets, but sleeping bags are compulsory.The Naturfreundehaus Tscherwald is centrally heated. There is a tiled stove in the large parlour. Our sanitary facilities are modern and up-to-date. There is a large kitchen, a dining room, a parlour, a multi-purpose room with a table football and a balcony. Our guests choose the group house for family celebrations, as a place to stay for meetings of all kinds, for youth or school camps or for courses and seminars with or without catering. It is suitable as a starting point for smaller or larger hikes (e.g. the Toggenburg High Trail), bike tours, snowshoe and ski tours. Various price categories for schools/camps, seminars or weekend packages for groups. Half board on request. Amden offers a local museum, a natural ice rink, a skiing area, hiking trails, tennis courts, opportunities for canyoning and climbing as well as water sports in the indoor swimming pool and on Lake Walen.

Das Haus ist vom Bahnhof Ziegelbrücke" mit dem Bus bis Haltestelle "Sell" und im Winter bis Haltestelle "Soldanella" mit anschliessender Wanderung von ca. 30 Minuten erreichbar. Alternativ kann mit dem Auto bis zum Haus gefahren werden. Im Winter sind Schneeketten obligatorisch!"
