Welcome to Palm Terrace Hostel (Casa Schira) in the heart of Valle Onsernone (TI, Switzerland). Here you’ll find peace, nature and a unique atmosphere – just 25 minutes from Locarno. The palm terrace invites you to relax in the sun or enjoy the evening in comfort. The house offers around 35 beds in double and multi-bed rooms as well as large dormitories for groups. A fully equipped kitchen, bright common rooms, a dining hall for up to 50 people and Wi-Fi are all included. Whether for holidays with friends, school camps or seminars – here you’ll enjoy space and freedom. Located in the village of Loco, you can reach shops on foot and start your hikes through the wild Ticino right from the doorstep. With the Ticino Ticket included in your stay, you can use all public transport in the canton free of charge, making it easy to explore Locarno, the lakes and the valleys. If you travel as a group, you can rent the entire house exclusively. Minimum costs are around CHF 700 per night, while beds in shared dorms start at CHF 29. By postal bus you can reach the Palm Terrace Hostel (Casa Schira) in about 25 minutes from Locarno; the stop Loco Paese is right next to the house. During your stay you benefit from the Ticino Ticket, which gives you free travel on all public transport throughout Ticino. By car, drive along the Via Cantonale to Loco, where parking is available directly at the house.
