The group accommodation Cheminée-Stübli Axalp is located at around 1500 metres above sea level and is one of the most beautiful places in the Bernese Oberland (Switzerland). Axalp is located in the municipality of Brienz (Canton of Bern, Switzerland). From Axalp you can enjoy a unique view of the Brienzer Rothorn and Lake Brienz. There are numerous hiking and mountain trails, including the famous Schnitzlerweg trail with its wooden figures made from tree trunks. In winter, the Brienz - Axalp ski area attracts skiers and snowboarders. Axalp is easily accessible all year round thanks to the well-maintained road and the reliable Postbus service from Brienz railway station. Beautiful surroundings and good accommodation options as well as shopping facilities in the grocery shop offer holidaymakers, groups, clubs and day visitors everything they need. The newly renovated Cheminée-Stübli Axalp group accommodation offers 39 beds. Furnished with lots of wood and practical furniture, it offers a cosy atmosphere.

To the group accommodation Cheminée Stübli and to the restaurant Axalp Stübli by post bus: During the summer and winter season, the post bus runs regularly from the Brienz railway station to the Axalp/Windegg terminus. by car: Leave the motorway at the Brienz/Axalp exit. After 10 km and 1000 m difference in altitude you reach your destination at the valley station of the Axalp/Windegg sports lifts. Two large public parking spaces are available.
