The Gruppenhaus Sonnenhof in Preda (Switzerland, Canton of Graubünden) is an authentic self-catering group house for family holidays, school camps, club weekends and group stays in the heart of Graubünden. Located at almost 1,800 metres above sea level, surrounded by the Ela Nature Park and close to the famous Albula Railway, it offers relaxing days amid breathtaking mountain scenery. The house accommodates 26 to 30 guests and features 10 cosy rooms with 2 to 4 beds each. A well-equipped kitchen with pantry, a spacious dining and lounge area with a wood-burning stove, games and a small library create the perfect setting for memorable group holidays. Facilities also include 4 toilets, 4 washrooms with sinks and 2 double showers. Outside, you will find a sunny forecourt, a play meadow, seating areas and a fire pit. After an active day in the mountains, the house’s traditional wood-fired sauna is a particular highlight. Right from the doorstep, you can set off on hiking and biking tours, climbing adventures, ski tours, snowshoe hikes or winter walks. In summer, Lake Palpuogna, Ela Nature Park and the Bergün Filisur holiday region are popular attractions. In winter, the famous Preda–Bergün sledging run, the Bergün-Darlux ski area and the Tèct/Zinols children's ski area in Bergün are all within easy reach. Preda is easily reached by the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) on the UNESCO-listed Albula Line. Travel from Chur towards St. Moritz or via Samedan from the Engadin. The house is about a 10-minute walk from Preda station. By car, access is via Bergün and the Albula road. In winter, Preda is car-free; parking is available in Bergün or Samedan, with onward travel by train.
