Since 1917, the Wädenswil holiday house has belonged to the Pestalozzi Association of Wädenswil. It is located in Schwende in the picturesque Appenzell region (Switzerland, Canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden), surrounded by green meadows and an impressive mountain backdrop, making it the ideal place for school camps, sports camps, project weeks, confirmation or Sunday school camps. From April to October, the house is available to you and offers space for up to 47 children and 12 adults. From here you can set off directly on hikes, bike tours or exciting excursions in the region. Popular destinations include the world-famous mountain inn Aescher-Wildkirchli, the Ebenalp or Meglisalp. The barefoot trail is perfect for playful explorations, and culture lovers will enjoy Appenzell’s museums, crafts and traditions. The Wädenswil holiday house combines a long history with practical infrastructure for groups. The surroundings offer nature experiences, sports activities and cultural highlights within walking distance or a short trip. Arrival by public transport Travel with SBB to Gossau SG or St. Gallen and change to the Appenzeller Bahnen. The train takes you comfortably to Schwende AI. From Schwende station, the Wädenswil holiday house can be reached within a few minutes’ walk. Arrival by car By car, drive via St. Gallen or Gossau towards Appenzell and continue to Schwende. Parking spaces are available at the house.
