Welcome to the Lunschania holiday house in Vals, Graubünden (Switzerland) – your retreat in the heart of the mountains. The former school building was carefully renovated in 2019, combining the charm of a traditional wooden house with modern amenities. You will stay in spacious, bright rooms overlooking the Valser mountains. Here you will find peace, nature, and countless leisure opportunities right on your doorstep. Whether skiing in one of the highest ski areas in Graubünden, hiking to traditional alpine pastures, swimming in crystal-clear lakes or enjoying varied bike tours – Lunschania is the perfect base. After your adventures, relax in the cosy living room with open kitchen, read a book in the small library or play a round of table football. Outside, a fire pit, seating areas and plenty of space invite you to linger. The house can only be booked by the week during the high season. Five simple bedrooms offer a total of 29 beds. Pillows, fitted sheets and wool blankets are included, please bring your own sleeping bag or duvet. Modern bathrooms, showers and WCs on several floors provide comfort. The house’s history as a schoolhouse adds a special atmosphere. Here in Lunschania, you leave everyday life behind, breathe pure mountain air and enjoy unforgettable holidays in the midst of a unique cultural landscape.

Public transport: Take the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur as the main axis, or from Disentis with connections to Central Switzerland or Valais) to Ilanz, then the PostBus towards Vals to the stop “Lunschania”. The house is just one minute on foot. Car, motorbike and bus: Motorway (A13) to Chur, exit Reichenau-Flims. Continue via Flims-Laax to Ilanz, turn into the Valsertal and drive on to the village of Lunschania, then turn right across the bridge to the lower wooden house.
