About the house

Welcome to your group house at the northern end of Grindelwald (Canton of Bern, Switzerland)! Just a few steps from the Bort–Grindelwald ski slope and the road to the Upper Glacier, you’ll find the perfect place for your next mountain stay. Right behind the house stretches lush pastureland – harvested for hay in summer and grazed by cows in autumn. The house offers 24 beds in 5 cozy rooms with 4 to 6 beds each on the first floor. On the ground floor you’ll find a spacious common room with reading and play corner, as well as a well-equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge and sink. The basement includes showers, washrooms and toilets. For active holidays: a boot-drying system and space to hang wet clothes, supported by active ventilation for fast drying. A modern heat pump provides comfortable warmth upon arrival. Outside, a large meadow with shady trees invites you to play and relax. Parking spaces are available right next to the house. Whether hiking holidays, ski camp, club trip or school excursion – this group house in Grindelwald offers everything you need for unforgettable days in the Bernese Alps.

Getting there

By public transport: From Grindelwald railway station, take the bus towards Oberer Gletscher and get off at Schulhaus Mühlebach. Walk up Regenmattenstrasse, after approx. 200 m the house is on the left, marked «SAC Burgdorf». By car: Drive through Grindelwald to the church. After the hotels Fiescherblick/Gletschergarten, follow the road for about 1 km to Schulhaus Mühlebach. Turn left into Regenmattenstrasse, after 200 m the house is on the left.
