The group house Burgerhaus Ferden is centrally located in the village of Ferden in the Lötschental (Valais, Switzerland). Ferden is 3km from the Goppenstein car transport station (south station of the Lötschberg). The kitchen at Burgerhaus Ferden is equipped with induction cooker and dishwasher. Sleeping bags must be brought along (mattress dormitory). With 200 km of hiking trails, the Lötschental is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the Valais. We especially recommend the Lötschental Legend Trail, which takes hikers from the Lauchernalp mountain station to Fafleralp. Ten different Lötschental legends take the interested hiker into the world of myths and legends. The valley station of the Wiler - Lauchernalp aerial cableway is in Wiler, two villages away, and takes you from 1419 m above sea level to 1969 m above sea level. The aerial cableway also operates in summer. The chairlifts from Lauchernalp Stafel and the gondola lift only operate in winter. On Lauchernalp you can benefit from a unique freeride paradise up to 3111 m above sea level. The ski area is easy to reach by post bus.
