About the house

Mountain Idyll on the Clavadeleralp The Naturfreunde Davos mountain inn sits at 1,965 m a.s.l., high above the valley in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland – sunny and free of fog on the Clavadeleralp. Its unique location makes it the perfect base for skiers, hikers, bikers, nature lovers, and anyone seeking peace and relaxation in the mountains. Here, alpine coziness, regional cuisine, and a warm atmosphere come together – ideal for groups, families, or clubs. In summer, access is easy via an alpine road requiring a permit or on foot in about 40 minutes from Davos Clavadel. In winter, the house is car-free; luggage transport can be arranged. The inn offers 37 beds in comfortable double and multi-bed rooms with down duvets. A restaurant with 50 seats, a cozy Stübli for 15 guests, and a sunny terrace with about 50 seats invite you to relax. Wi-Fi is available. Cash payment is preferred, but card payment is possible for an additional fee. Culinary highlights include regional specialties such as Capuns, Käsespätzli, nut tart, and the legendary fruit cakes. The house is not suitable for self-catering. The Jakobshorn ski area, the Jakobshorn Snow Sports School (www.skischule-davos.ch), numerous hiking trails, bike routes, and snowshoe tours start right outside the door. In summer, alpine meadows and panoramic views beckon; in winter, the snow-covered mountain world – a true retreat of peace and nature.
