Welcome to Bärgsunne – your group house high above Lake Thun (Switzerland, Canton of Bern)! Surrounded by green meadows, forest and an impressive mountain panorama, this is a place where community, nature and relaxation take centre stage. From the moment you arrive, you will feel the peace, the openness and the freedom this place radiates. The house accommodates up to 94 people and offers bright common rooms as well as flexible spaces for games, workshops, rehearsals, seminars or creative activities. A special highlight is the charming renovated barn, the “Schüürli” – ideal for music groups. There is also a lot to discover outside: the large play area around the house is perfect for football, outdoor games or camp Olympics. Here you can run around, relax or simply take a deep breath while enjoying the mountain views. Scenic hiking trails start right on your doorstep, leading to viewpoints, nature spots or down to the water. Excursions to Thun or the shores of Lake Thun add extra variety – swimming in summer, sledding in winter and culture all year round. The well-equipped kitchen allows for flexible catering – from simple group meals to a full camp dinner. Whether you are a youth group, school class, club or choir – at Bärgsunne you’ll find space to grow together, make new experiences and create real camp memories. By public transport: Take the train via Bern to Thun, then continue by bus towards Interlaken. Change in Oberhofen or Sigriswil for Schwanden. Get off at the stop “Schwanden (Sigriswil), Dorf”, walk 100 m uphill to the left and follow the signpost “Bärgsunne” (approx. 10 minutes on foot). By car: From the A1/A6 via Bern to Thun, take the Thun-North exit towards Gunten. After Oberhofen, turn left at Längenschachen and follow the white signs to Schwanden and further towards “Bärgsunne”.
