Welcome to the Brünig Art and Nature Lovers’ Centre (Switzerland, Canton of Bern), a retreat nestled amongst woods, mountains and a sense of community. The centre enjoys an idyllic location, just below the Brünig Pass, and is easily accessible by public transport or car. The views of the natural surroundings create a genuine camp atmosphere from the very first moment. With 58 beds in 16 rooms, the house is ideal for school groups, clubs, sports teams and family camps. You’ll find a variety of rooms – from small rooms to shared dormitories and attic rooms. Common rooms are perfect for games or film nights, and you can cook together in the spacious self-catering kitchen. We offer evening meals on request, subject to the availability of our kitchen team. A special bonus is the ‘Witch’s Cottage’, a creative and party room with a stage – perfect for workshops, rehearsals or celebrations. You’ll also find a recording studio, a woodwork workshop, a web design studio, a photography and film studio, a pottery workshop and a permaculture garden currently under development. Outside, there’s a fire pit, play areas and plenty of nature. Hiking trails start right outside the house, whilst mountain bike routes wind through the surrounding valleys and hills. In winter, you can quickly reach the Hasliberg ski resort, offering skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing, as well as opportunities for snowshoeing and winter walks. Mid-season rates apply during school holidays.
Days without an entry are shown as available. Only the enquiry to the host is binding.
Public transport: Take the train to Brünig-Hasliberg railway station. From the station, it’s just a short walk (approx. 5–10 minutes) uphill towards the forest to reach the house. Car: Drive towards the Brünig Pass (e.g., via A8 / A14 depending on your departure point). Park at the Brünig Pass or at the nearest parking area. A short forest access road or a brief walk along a forest track will take you to the house.
